About Us

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) is a private, Catholic university in Belmont, California. It is the third-oldest college in the state and was one of the first private universities in California to be designated as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution and Hispanic Serving Institution. NDSU has also been ranked among the top 10 most diverse colleges in the United States by Best Value Schools and was named a 2018-19 'School of Distinction' due to 'practices that are the most crucial for student development.'

NDNU enrolls about 1,600 students in its undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and teacher credential programs. The programs are offered through three schools - the College of Arts & Science, School of Business & Management, and School of Education & Psychology - and are offered in fields ranging from history and business administration to clinical psychology and school administration. NDSU offers the only PhD in Art Therapy program in the U.S., and its master's program in art therapy is the largest program of its kind in the country. All programs at NDNU are taught be experienced instructors who are committed to mentoring and advising students, and 98% of the faculty hold a doctoral degree.
