Areas of Study at Penn Foster Career School


Penn Foster offers career diplomas in automotive areas. Students can enroll in general auto repair programs and specialized automotive HVAC and detailing programs. Diplomas are available in diesel mechanics, motorcycle repair and small engine repair.


Business diplomas prepare graduates for entry-level jobs in areas like Hotel/Restaurant Management human resources and Internet Marketing. Students interested in being entrepreneurs may be interested in earning their Career Diploma as an Administrative Assistant or taking our Small Business Management programs.

Creative and Design

The creative and design area of study encompasses design technology, as well as creative work. You can earn your Career Diploma as a Bridal Consultant, Interior Decorator, or become a Web Page Designer.


The education programs at Penn Foster include career preparation for aspiring child care professionals and teacher aids.

Health Services

Students in health services programs can prepare for careers in animal care, medical administration and medical services.

Legal Studies

Aspiring to earn your Career Diploma in the legal field, you can complete a paralegal diploma program as a Legal Secretary or a Legal Transcriptionist.


Offerings in the technology department range from basic keyboarding and computer applications to advanced computer programming. Students can learn technology repair in PC Maintenance and Repair or Electronics.


The trades programs cover a wide variety of vocational areas. Students can train to become Electricians, Gunsmiths, Furniture and Cabinet Makers and or Landscapers.
