Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Open University
Since 2006, this university has been offering free classes through it OpenLearn system. Individuals can take a 6-hour intermediate-level and a 12-hour advanced HR management course. Course topics teach business students how and when to hire a human resources consultant and about fair and effective recruitment, selection methods and person-job fit.
University of California(UC) - Irvine
Through UC Irvine's Distance Learning Center, individuals can learn training and development methods by completing assignments and reading the ASTD Training and Development Handbook that's required for this course. Some of the learning objectives for this class include describing what progress has been made in training and development from the 1950s to present and creating a database of things learned in the course
