University of Oregon

Oregon State University is a public educational institution and was founded in 1868. Located in Corvallis, OSU has an undergraduate student population of 16,226. Although the OSU is recognized as being a third-tier university by U.S. News & World Report, Oregon State University is nationally known for its excellent programs in forestry, oceanography, pharmacy and environmental sciences. Southern Oregon University is a public educational institution and was founded in 1926. SOU is primarily recognized as a liberal arts school and is located in Ashland. Western Oregon University
Western Oregon University is a public educational institution and was founded in 1856. WOU is located in Monmouth and has an undergraduate student population of approximately 4,500. Although Western Oregon University is quite a small educational institution, it is nationally known for its Teaching Research Institute, the Rainbow Dance Theatre and the Regional Resource Center on Deafness. Western Oregon University has two schools: the College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is further divided into a creative arts division and a computer sciences division. In October of 2006, WOU instituted a tuition promise to its students that the school would guarantee the same tuition for four years as the year they enter the school as undergraduates.
