University of Washington

The University of Washington, a public educational institution, was founded in 1861. Located in Seattle, the University of Washington has an undergraduate student population of 30,790. Recently, U.S. News & World Report ranked the University of Washington at 41st in the nation. This comes as no surprise for its students as the school is nationally recognized as being one of the Public Ivy universities. There are 18 schools and colleges in the University of Washington: the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Dentistry, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, College of Engineering, College of Education, Information School, School of International Studies, School of Law, College of Forest Resources, School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, College of Ocean and Fishery Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Social Work, School of Public Affairs, School of Public Health and Community Medicine and Graduate School. The undergraduate tuition for residents is $2,129; it jumps to $7,377 for non-residents.

Washington State University

Washington State University, a public educational institution, was founded in 1890. Located in Pullman, Washington State has an undergraduate student population of approximately 20,000. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has recognized the university as being an institution of very high research activity. Recently, U.S. News & World Report ranked WSU as being 118th in the nation. Western Washington University
