University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming was founded as a public institution in 1886. Located in Laramie, the University of Wyoming has an undergraduate student population of 13,309. The University of Wyoming is nationally known for its research in the fields of environment and natural resources such as geology and agriculture. Today, the University of Wyoming is comprised of seven colleges and schools: Health Sciences, Law, Education, Engineering, Business, Arts and Sciences and Agriculture. The undergraduate tuition for residents is $94 per credit hour and $322 per credit hour for non-residents.

Casper College

Casper College is a public two-year educational institution and was founded in 1945. Located in Casper, Casper College has a student population of approximately 4,023. There are 50 fields of study for students to choose from, and like many community colleges, many of these program options lead to an associate degree in a technical area. There are 10 academic divisions at Casper College: ABE/GED, Business, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Language and Literature, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Trades and Technology and Distance Education. The estimated tuition for attending Casper College is $834 for residents per semester and is $2322 per semester for non-residents.

Sheridan College

Sheridan College is a public two-year educational institution and was founded in 1967. Located in Sheridan, this community college is a popular alternative for students wishing to cut costs while earning college credits. Part of the Northern Wyoming Community College Network, Sherdan College has up to 47 programs of study to choose from. Some of these program options end with an associate degree and others can be completed at a four-year educational institution. Some of these areas of study include Chemistry, Biology, Business, Social Science, Nursing, Music, Computer Networking Administration and Welding. The estimated tuition cost for attending Sheridan College is $84 per credit hour for residents and is $208 per credit hour for non-residents.

Northwest College

Northwest College is a two-year public educational institution and was founded in 1946. Located in Powell, Northwest College was at one time associated with the University of Wyoming, but support from this major public university has been discontinued. However, this has not affected the status of Northwest College's Music Department, which is nationally recognized as being one of the strongest in the national community college system. There are over 70 programs that either lead to an associate degree or a certificate at Northwest College. The estimated tuition of attending for residents is $2,000 per year for residents and is $4,976 per year for non-residents.

Central Wyoming College

Central Wyoming College is a two-year community college located in Riverton. Famous national parks such as Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Hot Springs are within driving distance of the Central Wyoming College Campus. There are 41 programs of study at Central Wyoming College and some of these programs include Fire Science, Broadcasting, Biology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Fine Arts, Dental Assistant and Equine Studies. The estimated tuition cost for attending Central Wyoming College is $62 per credit for residents and is $186 per credit for non-residents.
