ATI Career Training Center Admissions and School Information

The ATI Career Training Center operates one main campus in North Richland, TX, with nine other campuses in four other states. The school provides hands-on training in areas including motorcycle repair, automotive repair, personal training and dental assistant.

The ATI Career Training Center, located in North Richland, TX, has an enrollment of 750 students. It has five other campuses in Texas, two in Florida, one in Oklahoma and one in New Mexico. The 2-year school provides certificates in specified areas of training and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.

Founded more than 35 years ago, the ATI Career Training Center's goal is to provide employment assistance to its students through assessments and training. Its job placement services assist in preparation of cover letters, resumes and interviewing skills. Students also obtain hands-on training in each program, ensuring smoother transitions from student to employee.

Admissions and Enrollment Information

Those who wish to apply to the AIT Center Training Center should contact the specific school they wish to attend or speak with an admissions representative. Potential students then schedule interview with admissions representatives and complete enrollment agreements. From there, applicants submit necessary paperwork needed to complete their applications, such as application fees, high school transcripts or test scores. Applications are accepted at any time to the ATI Career Training Center, but students can only enter classes on specified dates. However, certain classes only have a specific enrollment numbers.

ATI Career Training Center Academic Departments

Health Care Department

Within the health care department, there are two specialties students can specialize in: dental and medical assisting. The dental assisting program teaches students about dental procedures, radiology, CPR and dental chair-side assistance. The medical assisting program prepares students for careers in health-care providers such as medical offices, clinics or minor emergency centers.

Automotive Repair Department

The automotive repair department offers an automotive service technician program, which provides hands-on training to its students. Those enrolled can choose either specialized or general automotive services to focus on. Some aspects students learn include fuel and ignition systems, conventional and computerized electronic systems and computerized diagnostic systems.

Motorcycle Repair Department

Similarly to the automotive repair department, the motorcycle repair department has hands-on training to learn how to be a motorcycle service technician. Students learn about the motorcycle's fuel and ignition systems and about computerized diagnostic systems. The course also focuses on how to best trouble-shoot and repair engines.

Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Department

Air conditioning, heating and refrigeration program graduates can obtain jobs in residential or commercial air conditioning service companies or as maintenance technicians for larger chilled water systems. Students learn about electrical troubleshooting, air conditioning installation, refrigeration units and heating systems. The course also prepares students to take the EPA certification exam.

Fitness Department

The fitness department's fitness trainer program gears its students for careers in the gym, fitness center, corporate wellness programs, private facilities or their own personal training business. Once students graduate, they should be ready to take the certification test given by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. There are two types of tests the students can take: thec corrective exercise specialist test or the performance enhancement specialist test. Corrective exercise specialist certification dictates that trainers are focused on imbalances, musculoskeletal impairments or post-rehabilitation issues. Performance enhancement specialist certification means the trainers can dictate individualized training programs for maximum athletic performance.

Health and Wellness Department

ATI Career Training Center's health and wellness department focuses on professional massage therapy. Its graduating students are eligible to work in a multitude of therapeutic specialties since the 7.5-month program exceeds the standards needed for state and national certification. Students learn about Swedish massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, trigger point therapy, acupressure and sports massage.
