Eastern Kentucky University has five colleges serving nearly 16,000 students. Founded in 1874, EKU is a public research institution maintained by the state. Eastern Kentucky University has accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, one of the six accrediting agencies to be recognized by the U.S. Department of state.
Admissions and Enrollment Information
Eastern Kentucky University accepts incoming freshmen and qualified transfer students. Applications can either be mailed to the admissions office or completed online. Interested students are required to take the SAT or the ACT for admission. The school also requires an application fee.
