Indiana Wesleyan University is the second-largest evangelical Christian university in the nation, with a total student population of 15,400. In addition to its main campus in Marion, IN, the university maintains 13 education centers in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, as well as over 90 community locations across the country.

Offering more than 70 undergraduate degree programs and eight graduate programs, Indiana Wesleyan University offers a religiously influenced academic environment to students in all fields. The school maintains a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio and boasts modern, high-tech facilities for communications, sciences and performing arts.

Admissions and Enrollment Information

Indiana Wesleyan University admits first-year, transfer, international, graduate and continuing education students. To be considered for admission, students must submit ACT, SAT or GRE scores, transcripts and samples of relevant work. Undergraduate candidates are required to complete an essay on personal faith and sign a Christian community values contract.

Schools and Colleges at Indiana Wesleyan University

College of Adult and Professional Studies

The College of Adult and Professional Studies offers continuing education certificates, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in computers, education, nursing, business and liberal arts. Evening and weekend classes are available to more than 15,000 students on-campus, online and at 80 regional locations. The college has graduated over 23,000 students who work in school districts, health care organizations and corporations.

College of Arts and Sciences

As Indiana Wesleyan University's largest division, the College of Arts and Sciences offers associate and bachelor's degrees through its 12 academic divisions, which include natural sciences and math, health and human performance, nursing, modern language and literature, religion and philosophy, behavioral sciences, social sciences, communication, business, art, music and education. The college houses the John Wesley Honors College, which offers inquiry-based courses and in-depth research opportunities to students in high academic standing. Students in the College of Arts and Sciences have access to 18 academically oriented student organizations, as well as honor societies, student media, sports organizations and faith-based groups.

School of Nursing

Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing tracks for both entry-level students as well as practicing registered nurses. It also offers two Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs. In addition to offering cutting-edge clinical and lab facilities on-campus, the School of Nursing offers its programs in online formats. Students also have the opportunity to study nursing in Zambia through Indiana Wesleyan University's study abroad program.

Wesley Seminary

The Wesley Seminary prepares students for careers in the ministry, offering Master of Divinity and Master of Arts programs in ministerial leadership and youth ministry. These programs actively involve students in church communities on Indiana Wesleyan University's main campus. Students may also choose to remain in their local communities by taking courses online.

The Graduate School

While programs offered by Indiana Wesleyan University's Graduate School overlap with other schools and colleges, all students pursuing graduate study enroll in this school. It offers a unique Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership program designed to prepare students for government, non-profit, faith-based, healthcare or corporate management.
