About Queens University of Charlotte
Queens University of Charlotte is a private university located in Charlotte, North Carolina, that offers a range of associate's, bachelor's, and master's degree programs. The university was originally founded in 1857 and currently holds many rankings from U.S. News and World Report; for 2018, the university is ranked as the #20 regional university in the south, #30 among best value schools in the south, and #17 among best colleges for veterans. Queens is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Queens offers five of its graduate programs online so busy adult learners can earn a degree around their current work and family obligations. The online programs include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Master of Arts in Communication, and Master of Science in Nursing. While the MBA program does require an on-campus residency, the other programs do not have any on-campus requirements. The MSN and MA in Educational Leadership programs, however, require students to complete a clinical or field internship in their local area.
Online students use the university's 'MyCourses' learning management system to access all of their courses. In MyCourses, students can view lectures, access assignments, and even complete tests from an Internet-connected computer or mobile device. They can also communicate and collaborate with their instructors and other students using shared blogs, instant messaging, discussion boards, web conferences, and other online community tools.
Student Testimonials
''Because of the smaller class sizes, the faculty were able to tailor their instruction to meet our needs.''
- Dylan Marshall, Queens University of Charlotte graduate
''As soon as I started, I knew it was the right thing to do. My Queens education has opened doors for me. Not only did our professors give us the information and resources to expand our knowledge base, they also challenged us as people and as leaders to really take an introspective look. That is something I didn't expect and has been so valuable.''
